Online Elocution Contest- Jury

Published

on

To celebrate and cheer the day, Takhte organised an ‘Online Elocution Contest’. We are completely overwhelmed and grateful for the participation we received from pan India. Ecstatic, that, continuing in contributing prolific writers to India, we are now in the process of exploring ‘Olympian Orators.’

We are excited to announce Kaki (born as Hema Dangi) as the Chief Jury. She is an Indian singer-songwriter and performer. She hails from Udaipur and brings a western flavour to her singing, along with an Indian-Hindi touch, which is quite rare to be seen in Indian Independent Artists currently. As more people in India want to hear music that isn’t just Bollywood, it’s a great time for artists like Kaki to come out and show the world what India has to offer. Working as an Official Artist at www.9xm.tv (Talentsofworld) for the last four years, Kaki’s the first singer from Udaipur to have an IMDb page and has released more than 12 original songs accompanied by Music Videos on the popular channel- 9xm.tv and www.kakitv.in (YouTube channel). From English to Hindi, from Classical to Hip-Hop Kaki can be seen experimenting with everything.

In her words “Music isn’t limited to a certain culture; it can be enjoyed globally no matter the language and should be explored keeping that in mind”.

Takhte agrees with the present climate calling on young people to overcome their shyness and speak out boldly in public. As a result, the floor was opened to four different styles, including extemporaneous speaking, speeches, poetry reading, and solo singing. We appreciate parents and educators for facilitating students’ participation in the contest and encouraging them to be the speakers. Follow this space to know the winners. Results on November 20, 2022.

Song

Sadaf
Class 5
Gitanjali Vedika School
(Budding Writer attending Takhte’s Creative Writing Sessions)

Chorus
Don’t let yesterday hold you back,
let’s get today on track.
Grab the new day,
And let yesterday fade away.

Verse 1
Sunlight shines on morning dew,
A fresh day and a hopeful hue.
Let’s leave behind the darkness of night,
And step into the morning bright.

Chorus
Don’t let yesterday hold you back,
let’s get today on track.
Grab the new day,
And let yesterday fade away.

Verse 2
Mistakes are made; Doubts may come up,
But let’s rise above to blow it up.
With every sunrise being a new start,
A fresh beginning with a new heart.

Chorus
Don’t let yesterday hold you back,
let’s get today on track.
Grab the new day,
And let yesterday fade away.

Verse 3
Learn from the lesson and let go of the pain,
Make sure it doesn’t happen again and again.
It’s a fresh day, and a new hope is born,
A brighter tomorrow, in a brand-new morn.

Chorus
Don’t let yesterday hold you back,
let’s get today on track.
Grab the new day,
And let yesterday fade away…

The book titled ‘Neural Nexus: Uncovering the horrific murder of a Friend‘ authored by Stuti Manda, a student of Gitanjali Vedika School, Hyderabad, was launched on the children’s day by the principal- Mrs Sonia Nagpal.

The debutante author Stuti Manda’s achievement at such a tender age is awe-inspiring. Her exceptional storytelling skills, vivid imagination, and remarkable attention to detail are apparent in every page of ‘Neural Nexus.’ What sets this novel apart is that a 12-year-old wrote it with a gripping plot, interactive nature, and intriguing dialogue.

Stuti’s ability to captivate readers with succinct yet powerful sentences is genuinely remarkable. The variety in her sentence structure keeps the readers engrossed throughout the book. From short, punchy sentences to longer, descriptive ones that paint vivid pictures in the mind’s eye, each sentence adds depth and texture to the narrative. The grammatical choice adds a sense of immediacy and energy to the narrative, propelling the story forward and keeping readers engaged.

Another remarkable aspect of ‘Neural Nexus’ is the author’s ability to create incredibly authentic dialogues. Each character’s voice is distinct and vibrant, adding depth and realism to the story.
