Sonorous Songsmith Results Announced
Songwriting is a specialised field that isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. A certain amount of predilection for this particular form of literary expression is required. We at Takhte are overjoyed to have collaborated with 9XM.TV to put on the event “Sonorous Songsmith.”
We got a few submissions, but are hopeful that this genre will evolve in the coming years and be able to attract more participation from lyric authors.
Congratulations are in order for the three songwriters who came up with the winning songs out of the twenty submitted.
To sum up, we would like you to keep honing your skills and writing meaningful songs.

Don’t Let Yesterday hold You Back
Song
Sadaf
Class 5
Gitanjali Vedika School
(Budding Writer attending Takhte’s Creative Writing Sessions)
Chorus
Don’t let yesterday hold you back,
let’s get today on track.
Grab the new day,
And let yesterday fade away.
Verse 1
Sunlight shines on morning dew,
A fresh day and a hopeful hue.
Let’s leave behind the darkness of night,
And step into the morning bright.
Chorus
Don’t let yesterday hold you back,
let’s get today on track.
Grab the new day,
And let yesterday fade away.
Verse 2
Mistakes are made; Doubts may come up,
But let’s rise above to blow it up.
With every sunrise being a new start,
A fresh beginning with a new heart.
Chorus
Don’t let yesterday hold you back,
let’s get today on track.
Grab the new day,
And let yesterday fade away.
Verse 3
Learn from the lesson and let go of the pain,
Make sure it doesn’t happen again and again.
It’s a fresh day, and a new hope is born,
A brighter tomorrow, in a brand-new morn.
Chorus
Don’t let yesterday hold you back,
let’s get today on track.
Grab the new day,
And let yesterday fade away…
