Writing empowers our thoughts, voice and makes impressions. It can be for self or others. It is such that our expressions in the milieu can bring a revolution in people’s minds. Writing has entered and settled both in our personal and professional world with its diverse styles and forms. Easily demarcated, it can be realistic or fictional. An influential writer is aware of the nuanced insights of the writing and evolves with time.

Under the art of writing comes story writing. Stories can be six words, 30 words, 500 or more. Critical is that the readers can connect with it, and if more fortunate, it seeps into the mind forever.

Writing a short story is testing litmus as one has time and space constraints. But it challenges one’s imagination. Additionally, building a gripping plot, outstanding characters, and witty cum satirical dialogues hone on.

Song

Sadaf
Class 5
Gitanjali Vedika School
(Budding Writer attending Takhte’s Creative Writing Sessions)

Chorus
Don’t let yesterday hold you back,
let’s get today on track.
Grab the new day,
And let yesterday fade away.

Verse 1
Sunlight shines on morning dew,
A fresh day and a hopeful hue.
Let’s leave behind the darkness of night,
And step into the morning bright.

Chorus
Don’t let yesterday hold you back,
let’s get today on track.
Grab the new day,
And let yesterday fade away.

Verse 2
Mistakes are made; Doubts may come up,
But let’s rise above to blow it up.
With every sunrise being a new start,
A fresh beginning with a new heart.

Chorus
Don’t let yesterday hold you back,
let’s get today on track.
Grab the new day,
And let yesterday fade away.

Verse 3
Learn from the lesson and let go of the pain,
Make sure it doesn’t happen again and again.
It’s a fresh day, and a new hope is born,
A brighter tomorrow, in a brand-new morn.

Chorus
Don’t let yesterday hold you back,
let’s get today on track.
Grab the new day,
And let yesterday fade away…
